My Azure Standard haul for July was delivered yesterday. I love being able to buy organic and non-gmo products in bulk. It’s a a great way to stock up. It is usually less expensive than the grocery store.
When I started switching my family over to organic food, I realized my grocery budget was going to have to go up. At one point, it felt like my budget was never going to catch up. I needed a way to get healthy food in our house without breaking the bank. This sent me down the natural foods rabbit hole.
Luckily, I’m able to find some great local foods from great local farms at the farmer’s market. I’ve been able to find grass fed beef, pastured chicken, organic fruits and vegetables at the farmer’s market. What was really lacking was my pantry.
We love quinoa in this house. I make a couple loaves of sourdough bread every day or two. Organic sugar is a must since I brew kombucha on the regular. We also need coconut sugar, raisins, einkhorn flour, oats, the list feels endless sometimes. Azure Standard is my budget friendly place to get these every month. Plus, by buying a 50 pound bag of oats, I’m stocked for several months. Less trips to the store!
This month was a smaller order than I usually do. It’s smaller than I normally do because they are out of my organic pastured butter. This month I got:
Coconut sugar – 5lb bag, I hadn’t tried this yet so I started with the smallest size. It filled one of my gallon jars.
Buckwheat groats – 33oz bag, we only use these for 1 breakfast bar recipe so I don’t but a lot at a time
Steel cut oats – 5lb bag, I haven’t tried their steel cut oats yet. I’m sure they’re amazing though. Their other oats are great.
Beef & chicken broth powder – 1lb bag each, most bouillon powders on the market are full of MSG, these have none
Brown lentils – 5lb bag, these are my favorite lentils!
Einkhorn flour – 5lb bag, something new that I’m learning how to use
Raw milk white cheddar – 5lb block, we love cheese in this house. I try to only bring raw milk cheese into the house, or make my own. Raw milk, organic cheese is EXPENSIVE at the store. It’s like 8 bucks for a little chunk at Whole Paycheck! It’s actually bigger than this, my villagers started to eat on it before I could get everything out of the boxes, ha!
Gallon size jars & lids. I always add these to my monthly order. Usually, at least one box. They’re half the price of anywhere else I can find them and they’re so handy. If you buy in bulk like I do, these are good to have on hand.
Also, I ordered a 15lb box of organic, grass fed butter but they were out of stock by the time I got my order. Super bummed!
If you have, let me know what you think. Have you found any count live without favorites?? I’d love to hear your thoughts!
