EASE YOUR MEALTIME STRESS
I know mastering your mealtime sounds like a funny thing to say. At 3 meals a day, we eat over 1000 times per year. When you have children in the home, that number goes way up. Seriously, how many snacks can a child eat in a day? I feel like my teens are never really full. So, we might as well get really good at making mealtime easier.
Since we follow a Nourishing Traditions diet, I have to be super organized when it comes to our mealtimes. Now, when I say super organized, I don’t mean it involves a lot of work. If I’m going to be making something with my sourdough starter, I have to make sure it’s fed and ready to go. When I’m making something with beans, I have to make sure that they’ve started soaking in enough time. If I’m making soup, I need to make sure I have broth ready to go. Usually this just involves pulling enough from the freezer to thaw in time. Just by planning ahead and knowing what is coming up in the next day or two, I can easily plan ahead. Just these few things make our mealtimes easier.
