I created this perpetual grocery list to solve a big problem in my house. How many times have you forgotten one of your household basics at the store?
When you forget items, you have to make multiple trips to the grocery store. This free printable can help end those multiple trips!
How A Perpetual List Can Save Your Sanity And Your Wallet
Print this out and write down all those things you know you need to pick up every time you go to the store. On our list every week, among other things, is fresh fruit and food for the dog. He has a special diet since he’s allergic to most things. I have to buy fresh food every week to two weeks. Before, when I would shop, I would get home and realize I’d forgotten my hubby’s favorite apples or the dog’s food. This perpetual grocery eliminates that.
This list can also save you money. Most of us know that if you walk into the grocery store and grab a cart, you’re dropping at least 50 bucks. I know I’ve been guilty of running into the store “real quick” and then I have a cart full of food I had zero intention of grabbing. By making sure that I have everything I need, I’m not wasting money on those real quick trips. Hopefully it can help you.
I like to keep this in the front pocket of my planner. Usually, I meal plan monthly at a minimum. Sometimes I’ll plan for a couple months just cause it’s easy to do it in a batch. I shop weekly for produce and perishable items. Depending the time of year it’s at the farmer’s market, imperfect produce or the grocery store.
Each week, when I’m ready to shop I’ll pull out my weekly plan from Plan To Eat. I’ll check my pantry, freezer and fridge to make sure I’m not buying things I already have. Then I’ll grab my perpetual grocery list and make sure I’m not missing the basics in my cart. This helps give me peace of mind that everything is covered for the week! Everybody is gonna be happy, #momwin!
